Looking for a unique entertainment to kick off your Friday night? Might we submit that you should perhaps take in a concert by the Northwest Horn Orchestra. Obviously if PDXYAR is making such a suggestion, this is not some wholly urbane engagement requiring you to starch your cravat. Indeed for seven years the NWHO has been entertaining with an eclectic blend of music provided by french horns backed up by percussion and a rhythm section in a fun and lighthearted way.

As is their wont, these musicians enjoy adding surprises to their performances. This year mixed into their offering of jazz, classical, movie tunes, rock, show tunes and blues is pirate music. Wait! Did I mention both surprises and pirate music in a post on this site? I wonder just what that could mean?

Do yourself a favor and join us for Northwest Horn Orchestra’s Lucky ‘13 Jamboree this Friday!
